Step 2: Make impressions of your teeth (3 minutes).

1 Remove one catalyst paste and one base paste from the system box and mix the two together by rolling and kneading in your hand for approximately 45 seconds until well blended into one uniform color. Make sure there are no white streaks. The material will begin to harden if mixed for more than 1 minute. Roll out the material the width of the tray (like a sausage). Press the material and shape into the tray.

2 Take the loaded tray and place over the upper teeth. Teeth should be centered in the impression material. Press firmly and with your fingers so you can feel the material flow over your teeth and gums. DO NOT BITE DOWN - just hold in place with your fingers. The impression material will extrude through the holes on the tray. Keep the impression in place for one minute, then remove and rinse in cold water.

Important: Do not 'wiggle' the trays side to side or back and forth - you must push them straight onto the teeth, hold STILL, and pull the straight off to get an accurate impression. A good custom fitted tray is one that sits snug on your teeth.

3. Check to make sure that you can see the impressions of your teeth in the impression putty. In case of error, use the tray again. Extra putty is included. Lower teeth impression: Repeat steps 1 and 2

Step 3: Return in prepaid envelope provided.

Remember: Fill out the card located on the inside flap of the system box. This card must be filled out completely and neatly - this is the only means our lab staff has of identifying your impressions!

Put the filled out card and the trays with your impressions in them (DO NOT remove the impressions from the trays) into the envelope located under the black tray in your system box. Add your return address to the prepaid envelope provided and mail.

b. Using your Whitening Gel

Prior to bleaching rinse mouth, do not use mouthwash. Pat teeth lightly with a tissue. Place small amount of gel into each tooth impression of custom trays . Gel should not squeeze out of trays when placed over teeth. If it does, you are applying too much gel. Whitening sessions vary from 30 minutes - 2 hours. Wearing trays minimum 1 hour per session recommended. Carbamide Peroxide breaks down over a 2 hour period, and is actively whitening your teeth when in your trays, so if you are looking to achieve MAXIMUM whitening results, then we recommend whitening for 2 hours per session, although most of our customers whiten for one hour per session, once a day with the same GREAT results). After treatment brush and floss. Although not common, some individuals may experience sensitivity. This is temporary and will subside after treatment is interrupted. If you do experience sensitivity, we recommend the use of Sensodyne Toothpaste (an over the counter toothpaste available at most drug stores)

1. Bring water to near boiling, remove pan from heat, allow water to cool for 1 minute. Warning: Do not place your fingers or hand into hot water.
2. Remove tray from barrier bag, hold tray vertically by handle and dip into hot water (form 1 tray at a time), submerge total arch of tray into hot water, keeping tray submerged until it begins to distort slightly or becomes clearer. Avoid holding tray in hot water until the walls of tray wilt together. 3.Remove tray from hot water, test temperature of tray with your finger to make sure it is not too hot for your mouth. Push U-Shape portion of tray onto the occlusion surface of teeth and form tray onto arch using positive pressure (squeezing and pinching) both inside and outside of tray to mold onto teeth. In addition use your tongue and cheek to help form tray, next step is it bite into tray- allow forming in mouth for 1 minute. Remove tray from mouth and run cold water over it or dip into bath of cold water to thermally set tray. If tray fits snuggly cut tab off with scissors. 4.If tray was too cold to thermally form-repeat forming process carefully to optimize fit. If the U-shaped channels fold inward during forming process-reheat carefully and separate. 5. The second set is a spare if you need them.
